We have put away most of the plastic toys/resources in the home corner and replaced them with china mugs, plates, knifes, forks and real food. The children are learning that they need to be used safely and to wash all the germs away at the end of the day. The children have been using their imagination by making cups of tea, lemon tea, having tea parties and picnics. We have been using money and the till to buy carrots, potatoes, parsnips and many more foods.

This has been a great opportunity to develop descriptive language, using money in play, acting out experiences and extending play ideas with friends. The staff team are looking forward to seeing lots of fun creative play in this area over the next few weeks/months.
