Preschool 2 are talking about how the seasons change and have noticed that Autumn is on its way.
Out in the garden we collected a selection of leaves of all different sizes shapes and colours. The children explored how they could be used, pressing the leaves to make a textured imprint in playdough and creating new colours to paint pictures of their leaves, sometimes using the leaf as a brush for painting – very creative!
We will be looking out for changes in the trees and shrubs that are in our garden at nursery and also our gardens at home, taking pictures to record this and seeing if we can find other natural materials to enhance our creative play.
