We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated essential items to our foodbank collection. It was incredible to see just how much we collected! All items were delivered to The Station Foodbank in Kings Heath and distributed from there to local families in need over the Christmas period.
Pre-School staff also took this opportunity to talk to the children about how we can help others who are less fortunate than us, especially over the Christmas period. The children had lots of suggestions, such as; “Use kind hands”, ” Say hello”, “Be nice” and “Give them food”.
This year has been a year like no other and your donations will really help those in need. On average in 2019/2020, “a record high of nearly two million people in the UK used a food bank”.
So, thank you again and let’s go into the new year with kindness in our hearts and a smile on our faces. Remember “Children are great imitators. So, give them something great to imitate”!
