Preschool have loved exploring the snow today!

Pre-school have absolutely loved exploring the snow in the garden today! We made a snowman called Simon, and the children asked Deb in the kitchen for a carrot for Simon’s nose. We used buttons for eyes, and the children said that Simon needed a hat in case he gets cold!
We found some ice which we looked closely at; We discussed how snow and ice is formed, and what we need to wear on days like today to keep ourselves warm.
We walked around the garden and then went back and looked at the different footprints we could see and compared them to the underside of each other’s wellies. The children then went on a ‘snowman hunt’ (which was the inspired by one of their favourites – We’re going on a bear hunt!)
