Today in the baby room we accessed the new Toddle Waddle. We encouraged the children to crawl and walk over the bridge and the concave bridge. The babies were able to manipulate their bodies and showed good balancing skills. We then changed the equipment, turning the bridge into a boat! The babies really enjoyed this! They steered the boat and rocked it from side to side. They also sat with each other in the boat which was really lovely to see. The babies spent a lot of time on the Toddle Woddle, showing high levels of fascination and engagement and also lots of determination when getting in and out of the boat. Aimee encouraged the babies who are able to crawl to get up onto their feet, supporting them to walk across the concave bridge. The babies were really proud of themselves and smiled and babbled happily throughout the activity.
