6.30pm collection is available at an additional fee

We are open all year round with the exception of Bank Holidays.

Morning session: 8am-1pm (7:30am start is available if pre-booked for an additional fee)

Afternoon session: 1pm-6pm

Full day: 7:30am-6pm

Welcome to Shooting Stars Nursery, Tettenhall

Shooting Stars Tettenhall is opening Monday 5th January 2026! Following a full and extensive refurbishment, the nursery capacity will be 85 children with 4 age-specific base rooms each thoughtfully designed and equipped for babies, pre toddlers, toddler and pre-school with stimulating educational resources and premium Community Play furniture.

As children grow, the rooms gently transition towards a more structured learning environment, supporting a confident and smooth progression towards school readiness.

Location

The nursery enjoys a prime location on Tettenhall Road, one of the main arterial routes into Wolverhampton City Centre. Its close proximity to the city ensures excellent accessibility for families and commuters, with convenient transport links and easy access to local amenities. This characterful setting will offer a warm and welcoming environment where children flourish through play, exploration, and high-quality early education.

Refurbishment Progress

The planned refurbishment is well underway, with our dedicated team of contractors working to transform the historic Victorian property into a vibrant, purpose-built nursery setting, while carefully preserving its architectural charm. Internally, spaces have been reconfigured to create spacious, age-appropriate rooms. Original features such as decorative cornices, and high ceilings have been carefully retained and restored where possible, complemented by contemporary upgrades including energy-efficient lighting, improved insulation, and modern heating & cooling systems.

The transformation will continue to the outside space to include the creation of a specially designed garden, featuring dedicated outdoor play areas tailored to each age group. A separate secure and nurturing baby garden will offer sensory-rich experiences in a calm, shaded environment, while the main garden will be landscaped to encourage imaginative play, physical activity, and social interaction. Outdoor play is an important part of the daily routine and so the outdoor spaces will be integral to the nursery’s vision, providing safe, stimulating environments that support children’s development and wellbeing.

SSN Ethos

Shooting Stars Nurseries is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children feel happy, supported, and eager to learn. The learning approach blends child-led and adult-guided activities to ensure full coverage of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This balanced methodology encourages independence, curiosity, and creativity while also providing the structure and guidance needed to support key developmental milestones.

For added peace of mind, the nursery will feature a secure ParentCam CCTV system, offering parents a real-time view of their child during the day. Parents will also benefit from a dedicated nursery app, providing daily updates, photos, and key information which reflects the nursery’s strong commitment to parent partnership, encouraging collaboration and involvement in each child’s learning journey.

Fresh, nutritious hot meals and healthy snacks will be prepared daily in the on-site kitchen, offering a varied menu that promotes balanced eating habits from an early age.

We are proud to offer direct access to the garden spaces from the Baby and Pretoddler rooms, which are both situated on the ground floor.

History

Dating back to the 1860s, the property is a striking three-storey detached Victorian building, set in a prominent and slightly elevated position. Rich in period character, it boasts a range of original architectural features including high ceilings, ornate cornicing and decorative brickwork. The accommodation has previously supported a variety of uses, from individual office suites to childcare spaces and we are delighted to incorporate this beautiful setting into the Shooting Stars family.
