The Pretoddlers explored the woodland area
Our woodland area was the perfect environment for the Pretoddlers to explore natural resources such as mud, bark, sand and water with a variety of different scoops, containers and utensils. The children immediately gravitated towards the area and remained engaged whilst they explored the different resources in a variety of ways. The children used the skills of filling and emptying, taking turns and sharing, communication, independence and mark making. The lemon mint plant growing in the garden added another sensory dimension for the children to incorporate into their play. It was delightful to see the children extending play cues to their friends and carers, inviting others to share in the experience with them.
