The Pretoddlers have been very interested in stories and rhymes recently, with their favourite being ‘The tiger who came to tea’ and ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. We have been bringing these stories to life with a range of activities to help develop their interests, confidence and imaginative skills.
The children have been enjoying tea parties with tea sets and real tea, investigating filling, emptying, stirring and make-believe play.
We read the Bear Hunt book in the garden and then recreated it while exploring the different textures and resources we could find outside.
The children have loved sharing stories in a group with their friends as well as exploring the books by themselves.
