In Pre-school this month we are all about Bugs!
Armed with scavenger hunt bags, the children are looking for sticks, bricks, stones and any natural materials to make the bugs happy in their ‘Bug Hotel’. We can’t wait to place the ‘Hotel’ into our garden and see what insects and other minibeasts choose to live there.
The children are also super excited to welcome the caterpillars to Preschool. They will be helping to look after them, making sure they are fed and observing how they transform from caterpillars, to cocoons, to beautiful butterflies that can be released in to our garden. Using the internet and books to research how we care for the caterpillars, everyone is absolutely loving learning all about life cycles.
