Through observations we watched the children take on an active lead going on treasure hunts. They then used paper and pens to make their own treasure map which we then made look old with cold wet teabags. The children then used the torches they had used in their treasure hunt to explore light. Our big activity was to explore with glow sticks in a clear water tray. The children added them into the tray and the adult then put the blinds down and turned off the lights and used this opportunity to talk about colours and shapes made with the sticks.
