Pre school 2 Animaltastics visit.
The children were really excited to meet Sarah from AnimalTastic and all the amazing animals she had brought with her.
Sarah brought the animals in covered cages and the children sat very patiently, intrigued to see what animals would be unveiled. First was Fizz the rat, followed by Reggie the tortoise, Pepsi the corn snake and Olivia the rabbit. The children handled the animals with great confidence and discussed how the animals felt, some were “Soft and silky”, whilst others had a, “Crunchy shell” and felt “Smooth”. Also the children were surprised that the snake was not slimy and were surprised that she could tie herself into a knot!
Next steps: We are going to be talking about pets that we have at home, discussing these and any animals that we may have seen at the zoo or wildlife parks. We will talk about what they look like and investigate where they live.
