Some of the children in pre-school 2 have been reading their favourite fairy stories and a particular favourite was 3 Billy Goats Gruff.
After we had listened to the story a group of children went over to the forest area and started to construct their own bridge. They then accessed the puppet and the story book resources which they then took over to the bridge to include in their role play. The children each took on the role of a character and re-enacted the story with one child narrating the story, and the others recalling the familiar parts of the popular tale. This was then watched by a selection of other children who then wanted to join in and continue to expand the game.
