We would love our parents to help the children to collect different shaped, sized and coloured leaves over the weekend, (or any other natural items that spark their interest) and bring them to nursery next week. This will help the children to create an Autumn collage for our Continuous Provision board, where we are exploring the change in seasons and our primary colours in nature.
The Toddlers have been exploring and collecting leaves and sticks in the garden at nursery too, looking for all different shapes, sizes, and colours! They found pointy leaves, green leaves, brown leaves, red leaves and even some spotty leaves! We began talking about the change in season from Summer to Autumn and how the leaves will change colour from green to brown and fall from the tree. We splashed in some puddles from the rain and laughed when we got wet!
