The children have started to be curious about letters, so this week we have begun to look at and identify our own names and been helping Pre-school to recognise the letters in them.

An adult wrote our names onto a board and then each individual letter of our name onto a Duplo block. The children were then asked to match the blocks to their name.
A little adult support was needed, but the children were brilliant at identifying the letters in their names and also it was lots of fun. Next we are going to start trying to form letters so that eventually we can write our own names.
