We have been celebrating and learning about Chinese New Year in the Toddler room. The children have been joining in with lots of activities to develop our understanding of different cultures.

We have been celebrating and learning about Chinese New Year in the Toddler room. The children have been joining in with lots of activities to develop our understanding of different cultures.

We explored different textures such as noodles, trying to pick them up with the tweezers and created our own Chinese fans by using the red and yellow colours to make different strokes and our hands to mix the paint! In the role play area we have been pretending to be the dragons with the masks, making lots of “ROAR!” noises. Everyone loved dancing outside with the ribbons, talking about what colours they had and the different movements we could make.
