The toddlers have been very interested in fallen leaves, so we introduced the idea of leaf rubbing so the children could explore the textures and patterns.

As the season is changing the children have been loving watching the leaves fall from the trees.

The children have shown a real interest in exploring a range of different leaves outside by filling and emptying containers and making potions.

An activity the children have found interesting is making marks with the leaves.  We demonstrated to the children placing the leaves underneath the paper, to then make marks and see what pattern they make. The children thoroughly enjoyed feeling the textures of the leaves and noticing the marks they make.
