Pre-school one have really enjoyed getting ready for Christmas by making their own Christmas grotto.
Using bricks, we dipped them into the paint and printed a fabulous pattern onto the paper. The children then made their own stockings to put up, they used the glue and spreaders adding different coloured tissue paper to create the look they wanted. They loved playing in the grotto, exploring the tinsel and using lots of language to talk about their decorations at home and what they would like Santa to bring them this year. We also encouraged the children to share how they celebrate at home, talking about any nice activities they have taken part in at home and sharing our different ways of celebrating.
