As part of our Shrove Tuesday & Pancake Day celebrations, Pre-school have been exploring citrus fruits.

The children loved all the bright colours and the fantastic “Zingy!” & “Fresh!”, smell that came from the lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruits. They recognised and talked about the different sizes and shapes of the different fruits and the way that the outside felt waxy and the inside of the fruits were squishy and soft. It was great fun getting to investigate and  lots of children were keen to taste them too!
