Over the last week we have been continuing our interest in exploring insects. Looking at their natural habitats and also using special insect magnifying glasses to take a closer look at their features, shapes and colours. We looked at our bug lists and went around the garden to see if we could find each one to tick off, using positional language such as ‘underneath the log’ and ‘on top of the leaf’. We have also made observational drawings and designed our very own bugs. We’ve enjoyed working together and sharing resources too and we’ve been very excited to talk about our findings as a group.
Next week we are going to be looking more closely at their natural habitats and plan to build some homes for bugs in the garden.
