Preschool have been exploring the wonders of Autumn.
Looking outside the children have begun to notice the changes to the trees and other plants. We gave each child a special Autumn bag and with their family, they went out in their garden or local area to collect Autumnal treasures. There were so many interesting objects, different sizes, colours, textures and sounds to investigate! We looked and listened as we examined big pinecones and small pinecones, acorns, conkers in their prickly shells and smooth shiny ones that had lost their shell, crunchy brown leaves and leaves starting to loose their green colour, but most amazing of all was an old birds nest!
