To celebrate Grandparents Day, Wolverhampton preschool have invited their grandparents or a special person along for an Autumnal Stay & Play.
The children have been exploring Autumn and were keen to show their guests how they use magnifying glasses to explore all the different autumnal objects that they have collected. Looking at the patterns on leaves and pinecones, they even found a spider and other bugs inside some objects! Using seasonal coloured playdough and autumnal objects they could show the Grandparents how they can make lots of interesting marks.
They have also been ‘cooking up’ a ‘Pumpkin Soup’ in the water tray adding leaves and giving it a good stir until the water turns brown-yum yum! We are looking forward making some real pumpkin soup to taste soon.
