Loose part musical instruments
In Wolverhampton Preschool over the last few weeks, we have enjoyed an ongoing music theme project. We decorated a block of wood and added hair grips to create a musical instrument from Africa called a Kalimba.
We also used different sizes of tubes and turned them into ‘Rain Makers’ and ‘Drums’ to shake and bang.
One of our teachers brought in a Ukulele for everyone to have a go at playing. We studied it carefully and then used cardboard and elastic bands to make our very own, including cardboard plectrums to play them with!
