The Pretoddlers have been exploring all creatures great and small, from jungle and farm animals, to sea creatures and even the tiniest creepy crawlies. We looked at where they live, the noises they make and what they might eat (the animals really enjoyed having breakfast with us!), and painted our animals feet to make stomping footprint pictures.
The home office has become quite a familiar scene for many of the children over the last year so we turned our role play area into an office for them to explore. They used the stationary to make marks on notebooks and post its and enjoyed pressing all the buttons on the keyboard and holding the telephones up to say “hello!”
Toddler 2 celebrated World Animal Day last week and have continued to develop their interest in animals throughout the week. The children showed super knowledge of animal names and we had lots of fun recreating the noises the animals make!
We have also been setting up our Autumn corner and exploring all the lovely natural treasures that you have found on your walks from home.
We are so proud of how well the children are growing in independence too, always keen to help out with little jobs and washing their own hands really thoroughly.
